Tumana Agency for Development (TAD), Sunday, 13th July 2025, with support from Professor Sidat Yaffa – Goodwill Ambassador of TAD and Director of the UTG/WASCAL Doctoral Research Program on Climate Change Education successfully organized a community Convergence Forum in Ngen Sanjal, North Bank Region. The forum brought together youths, women, farmers, and community leaders to explore climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and local solutions to development challenges.
The forum aimed to build grassroots awareness on climate resilience, promote sustainable practices, and encourage community-led development aligned with food security and decent livelihoods. The discussions linked policy to community realities, empowering participants to take action for their environment and future.
Participants including women were inspired by the leadership and humility of Professor Sidat Yaffa. His message of local ownership, academic excellence, and commitment to rural transformation gave communities renewed hope. Many expressed their motivation to follow his footsteps by actively engaging in climate-smart practices and advocating for environmental protection across communities. They expressed appreciation for his leadership and called for more collaboration to sustain gains on local climate action.
In addition, the forum also served as a platform to amplify the long-standing efforts of Professor Sidat Yaffa in championing grassroots climate education and environmental advocacy. His continued partnership with TAD reflects a shared commitment to empowering rural communities through science-based, community-led development approaches. Participants expressed appreciation for his leadership and called for more collaboration to sustain gains on local climate action.
